Abstract his special publication of the Geological Society of London presents research papers on the geodynamic evolution of East Antarctica. The Japanese Syowa Station serves as the focal point of the research which includes the areas of Lutzow- Holm Bay, Prince Olav Coast, the Yamato Mountains, the Belgica Mountains, the Sor Rondane Mountains and Enderby Land. This publication is part of the Japanese contribution to the International Polar Year 2007-08. (mte)
