Abstract POLENET/FI is a project that will be a part of POLENET (Polar Earth Observation Network) project consortium, whose main target would be organisation of long-term observational network in polar regions aiming at studying of the polar geodynamics, the earth's magnetic field, crust, mantle and core structure and dynamics. The project consists of two sub-projects: 1. Collocated seismic and geodetic measurements at permanent stations in Finland and Antarctica (POLENET/GEOD); 2. Passive temporary seismic array research in northern Fennoscandia (POLENET/LAPNET). The POLENET/FI network will be organised on the base of existing GPS, superconducting gravimeter and broadband seismograph stations in Finland and Antarctica. Activities will include enhancement of the existing network of permanent broadband seismic stations in northern Finland and organisation of long- term collocated GPS, gravimetric and seismic measurements.
