Abstract A progress report of the ANDRILL (ANtarctic geological DRILLing) Program is presented here in the context of the Fourth International Polar Year. The primary objective of ANDRILL is to collect marine and glaciomarine sediment cores from the Antarctic continental margin to establish a sedimentary archive from which paleoenvironments and paleoclimates can be reconstructed.
