Abstract This issue of Reports on Polar and Marine Research presents the proceeding of the 23rd Polar Libraries Colloquy held in Bremerhaven in June 2010. The theme for the colloquy was "Cool libraries in a melting world". This paper describes learning tools developed by the Byrd Polar Research Center for the general public and high school students.
